This is an amazing, Swiss Chalet style cabin. The property is literally on the San Juan River. Walk right from the front porch out to great fishing spots. Sleep like a baby with the river sounds all night long. Full services except for a washer and dryer. One Bedroom upstairs with queen bed and fold out queen bed in livingroom. Fireplace, 3/4 bath, full but small kitchen, dish TV, high speed internet, phone, BBQ grill, additional bait and beer fridge on porch, fire pit, etc... RV Hook-up available. The cute cabin has a covered porch and has an upper sun deck that overlooks the river and valley. It's a small cabin but very homie and efficient. Shower, sink and toilet in adorable bathroom. Outside there is a fire pit, horseshoe pits, lawn areas, cottonwood trees. You'll have ave a bbq on the paved pad, ample seating at one of the picnic tables, and enjoy the sound of the river. Just gorgeous! The fishing is amazing in the San Juan as well. There is a great Bait and Tackle place called Fisheads within walking distance. They have a restaurant which is fantastic as well. The "DreamCatcher" is a very private, single residence with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.There is a foldaway cot available for additional sleeping arrangements. It has a full sized kitchen, dining area and TV room all in one "great area". The kitchen has newer appliances but at this time there is no dishwasher. So bring paper plates if you prefer not to wash a lot of dishes. The TV room has a Roku TV and with the internet service that is provided, streaming a good movie is not a problem. There is a covered back porch for enjoying the privacy and beautiful views the "DreamCatcher" has to offer. Cook your meal on the gas grill located next to the covered patio. The master bedroom and bath are off to themselves to afford a private "suite" with it's own access to the covered patio. It has a queen bed and TV (HDMI port) mounted on the wall. There is a DVD player so remember to bring some DVD's. The master suite is large enough for a small seating area. The middle bedroom has a queen bed, TV (HDMI port) with a DVD player. It shares the Jack and Jill style bathroom with the small bedroom. The small bedroom has a full bed and TV/DVD combination (HDMI port). The Jack and Jill bathroom shares its space with the laundry facilities. For the individuals that plan on fly fishing there is a wading rack mounted near the master bedroom patio door. There is also a large metal bucket for storing items such as cleats. Just a short drive down a BLM road to your private, secluded getaway. Two sides of the property are bordered by BLM land which can be accessed from the property for hiking and watching of wildlife that wonders through. Bring your binoculars to spot the bald eagles that frequent the area around the "DreamCatcher". The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular to see right from the covered patio. The circular driveway does provide enough space for bringing a boat if so desired. Quality Waters of the San Juan River is just a short 2 mile drive and the Navajo Lake Marina is only 8 miles away. This property sets by the Animas River 2 miles outside of Aztec NM. It has beautiful views of the river, farmland and the mountains. The elevation is about 5500 is close to hiking, Aztec Indian Ruins are just a mile and a half away. Navajo Dam is 25 minutes...Durango is about 25 minutes. This is an affordable home for being a base to many adventures. There are 2 bedrooms, and a nice mattress area, washer and dryer, gas fireplace, 1 full bathroom. French doors open from 1 bedroom and great livingroom onto a private patio, with a propane grill, firepit and plenty of geese, deer and sunsets to die for as you relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you look under the section ABOUT ME, you will see that I live upstairs by myself, and the whole 1250 sq ft bottom section is accessible privately down newly cemented steps that are level and easy to access the downstairs, through a private gate and into French doors. I work full time and have another VRBO property in Bayfield Colorado that I manage, so I am not home much. I don't even see many of my guests.

The house is a great launch point for fishing, hunting, hiking, rock-climbing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and other outdoor adventures. The cabin’s natural remoteness actually is a plus compared to more densely populated areas of the state in terms of Pandemic exposure. HISTORY By the upper Brazos River in Northern New Mexico, at the base of the famous Brazos Cliffs, our cabin resides in a cabin community dating back to the 1930’s. The village began with the Brazos Lodge and 12 cabins, some which are still in use today. The area was incorporated in the 1960’s with lots being sold and cabins built over the years. Our cabin was built in 1974, from local materials acquired at the old mill in nearby Chama, NM and stone from the nearby quarry.
